Nick Price Commits to The Principal Charity Classic®
(WEST DES MOINES, Iowa) – Nick Price has committed to compete at The Principal Charity Classic® presented by Wells Fargo, May 28 – June 1 at Glen Oaks Country Club. Born in South Africa, Price is in his second year on the Champions Tour.
“We’re excited to have Nick joining us in Des Moines for the first time,” said The Principal Charity Classic Tournament Director Jeff Starr. “He’s had an impressive career on the PGA Tour and should add some great competition here in Des Moines.”
Price has 18 victories on the PGA Tour and two Player of the Year Awards to his credit. He had one of the most prolific years ever on TOUR in 1994, capturing six titles, including the British Open and PGA Championship. Price has played a total of 17 events on the Champions Tour with a best finish of third at the 2007 Senior PGA Championship in Kiawah Island, S.C. Price was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Fla., in 2003 and is currently designing golf courses in South Africa, Dominican Republic and Cancun, Mexico.
