World Golf Hall of Fame member Tom Kite commits to play in The Principal Charity Classic®
(WEST DES MOINES, Iowa) – World Golf Hall of Fame member Tom Kite has committed to play in this year’s Principal Charity Classic® presented by Wells Fargo, May 28 – June 1 at Glen Oaks Country Club.
“Our tournament field has gotten even stronger with the addition of Tom Kite,” said Principal Charity Classic Tournament Director Jeff Starr. “We now have 17 of the current Top 20 Champions Tour money leaders committed to play at Glen Oaks.”
Kite has nine career Champions Tour wins and 18 career PGA Tour titles, including the 1992 U.S. Open. The 1997 Ryder Cup captain was inducted into World Golf Hall of Fame in November 2004. He finished last season among the top 10 Champions Tour money winners for the fifth time in eight years. Kite has shot 69 or under in 12 of 15 rounds played at Glen Oaks, finishing among the top five in three of his five previous appearances.

The Principal Charity Classic, presented by Wells Fargo, is an annual Champions Tour event at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines. The 2008 tournament will be held May 28-June 1.
