Community spirit is the driving force on the links at The Principal Charity Classic, and central Iowan's have a great opportunity to benefit area children's programs by raising additional funds through Birdies for Charity.
How does Birdies for Charity work? Starting in 2016 the Birdies for Charity program will provide a 10% match on ALL pledges made through the program. Charities that collect pledges totaling over $10,000 will now be eligible for a 15% match not to exceed $10,000. Matching funds will be distributed up to $66,667 in collected pledges. Also new for 2016, The Principal Charity Classic will pay participating charities throughout the year. Payments will be made in February, May and August. Matching funds earned during the 2016 program will be paid in August 2016.
Matching Funds are sponsored and provided by Sammons Financial Group.
Additionally, pledgers have a chance to win great prizes courtesy of John Deere Financial. Prizes include John Deere mowers, grills and snowblowers.
