Boasts 25 of the Top 30 on Schwab Cup Money List, Includes Four World Golf
Hall of Famers and 15 PGA TOUR Champions Major Winners

 

Des Moines, Iowa (May 24) – The Principal Charity Classic announced the final field list for next week’s tournament. With four World Golf Hall of Famers, 15 PGA TOUR Champions Tour major winners and 12 PGA TOUR major championship winners overall, the 2019 Principal Charity Classic will boast one of the strongest fields ever visiting Des Moines. 25 of the Top 30 on the Charles Schwab Cup Money List will be competing May 30 – June 2 at Wakonda Club.

Defending champion Tom Lehman will defend his title against some of the best players in the world, including former champions Brandt Jobe, Scott McCarron, Mark Calcavecchia, Tom Pernice, Jr., Russ Cochran and Jay Haas.

Vijay Singh, winner of 34 PGA TOUR events and three majors, will compete in the Principal Charity Classic for the first time. He has won four PGA TOUR Champions events, including one major.

Singh is joined in the field by fellow World Golf Hall of Fame members Bernhard Langer, Sandy Lyle and 2019 inductee Retief Goosen.

The 15 PGA TOUR Champions major winners account for 31 major wins on tour. In addition, 12 players hold a total of 19 major wins on the PGA.
